Ned Marks turned pro in July 2009 after a strong 4 year career at Denison University, where he twice won the most improved player award and finished at the #1 overall spot on the team. Coming in from Brunswick School in Greenwich, CT, Ned originally played #5 on the team, but once he set his sights on the top, he never looked back. He began training vigorously, lost 20 pounds, and eventually surpassed all the other team members to take the top spot. He was also a two year captain and the two year president of the club team, which reached a high of #17 in the country.

Ned is currently living and training in New York City. Ned travels around to local clubs, spending time teaching kids the game and ways to improve, along with challenging local opponents to gain experience. He is one of the upcoming American stars on the Pro Squash Tour, and reached a world ranking of 223 while on PSA in April, 2010. He finished in the top 10 in points in PST’s first year in existence, a number he will be trying to best this coming season.
Last year, he coached the St. Luke’s boys Varsity team to a National Championship and a 2nd place finish in the New England Championship. Previously, he was the JV coach at Greenwich Academy, a team that has won numerous high school national championships over the last decade.

Ned is known for his mental tenacity and never say die attitude on court. He is one of the fastest moving squash players in the world, and has an incredible ability to retrieve balls that are seemingly impossible to get. His die hard attitude and friendly demeanor make him a fan favorite around many of the stops on the tour.
